Bidspirit auction | Postal history. Secured letter. Cover

Postal history. Secured letter. Cover of execution proceedings sent from Viseu to Lisbon, of particular interest, therefore the postage had to be paid by the sender. It has the mark SEGURO VIZEU VIS-S1 rar 9 in red. In the upper right corner where the postage is written, it says Pg 540 and below Pg 300, totaling 840 paid by the sender. With the supplementary indication ”did not arrive” inscribed in Lisbon by the insurance office. This indication means that the postage for the letter, which should have been sent from Viseu to Lisbon, did not accompany the missive. It is the first known case with this type of situation. MR
