Postal history. Letters arriving from abroad. Letter written in Bergen on June 24, 1852. By the packet ship Marbello and destined for Setúbal. It has transit marks in Hamburg on June 27, Valenciennes on June 30, and arrival in Lisbon on July 29, 1852. Upon arrival in Lisbon, a postage of 600 réis was applied, to which 50 réis were added for the journey to Setúbal. It also has the application in Lisbon of the LEY stamp of 30 réis. Letters addressed to Portugal from Northern European countries are scarce.
