Postal history. Maritime mail. British packet ship. Two letters, one dispatched from Cádiz, the other from Malta, with the two types of British stamps. Postage of 120 and 300 réis for letters arriving in Lisbon on English Mediterranean packet ships, with an additional 40 réis for transport to Porto. Arrival marks in Lisbon 28/9 and in Porto 2/10/1851. On the Cádiz letter 19/1/1840. The two British packet ship stamps are very well marked.
