Bidspirit auction | Brazil-England. 2 letters, 1 sent

Brazil-England. 2 letters, 1 sent (duplicated and triplicated). From London on November 3, 1811, to Rio de Janeiro, where it was received on January 18, 1812. Letter sent by hand, by merchant ship, without a transit mark in the British or Brazilian postal system. Soon after the establishment of the trade and navigation treaty between Portugal (Brazil) and Great Britain, on February 19, 1810, the movement of English merchant ships destined for Brazilian ports began to be observed. In the Finnie archive, we recorded dozens of letters transported by hand, of which the two present are an example. Very good and very scarce.
