Postal history. Forwarding agents. FWA Letters dispatched from Bahia, August 15, 1844. Transported by hand on the ”Emilia” to Porto. In Porto it was delivered to Joaquim de Oliveira, forwarding agent, who delivered it to the post office to be sent to Lisbon. A postage of 40 réis was applied. It has a Porto stamp dated 5/11/44 and an illegible Lisbon arrival mark in November 1844.
