Angola. Airmail. Letter sent from Mossamedes on July 16, 1945, by airmail to Luanda, where it arrived on July 18, 1945. Postage cost $50 (a $40 stamp and on the reverse two 5-cent postage stamps, to be used in place of the Post Office stamp) and a 0.50 Angolan Assistance stamp, mandatory from July 1 to 31 of each year. An airmail surcharge of 1.80 Angolans was also paid for the application of Tax Percue.
