Postal history. Postage amendments. Letter from Figueira da Foz, dated 19/7/1846. Sent to Lisbon. FIGUEIRA FIG6 rar8 mark in black (this mark is only known to have been applied from 19/7 to 20/10/1846, in black with a rectangular border, this being the first recorded date). A postage of 30 réis was applied in Figueira, transit through Porto on 21/. The postage of 30 was amended to 40 in Porto, and upon arrival in Lisbon on 24/7. The postage was again amended to 30, with the application of the mark EMENDOU-SE O POSTE, with 30 handwritten inside. Very beautiful.
