Zoltan Kluger – Jewish Soldier Lighting Hanukkah Candles, 1942: Rare postcard by Zoltan Kluger, issued by The National Committee for the Jewish Soldier in Palestine, 14×9 cm, very good condition. The image shows a Jewish soldier in British Army uniform lighting a Hanukkah menorah while a young girl (likely his daughter) watches the flames. Below appears a verse from Ma’oz Tzur: “The head of the Benjaminite You (G-d) lifted, and his enemy’s name You erased.” Printed in Palestine and sold during Hanukkah, symbolizing the hope and spiritual resilience of the Jewish people during WWII.
