Coverת Libya Palestine – Jewish Brigade, The Palestine Regiment, 1943 - Mailed through British Field Post Office to Jerusalem, 25 October 1943 A military postal cover sent by a Jewish soldier from B Company, 2nd Battalion, Palestine Regiment, Middle East Forces (Libya). The envelope is marked O.A.S. (On Active Service) and bears British Field Post Office and military censor markings (B14). Addressed in Hebrew to Jerusalem, Palestine, with handwritten notations and censor signature on the upper left. The reverse shows the original wartime sealing tape in an “X” formation. Reviewed, stamped, and signed by the military censor before dispatch via field post on 25 October 1943. Sent during WWII, prior to the establishment of the Jewish Brigade, when Jewish soldiers served in the British Army under the Palestine Regiment.
