At center, the enameled brigade emblem – a blue and white vertical flag with a yellow Star of David enclosing the numeral “2,” denoting the 2nd Battalion. Around it appears the Hebrew inscription “החטיבה היהודית הלוחמת” (“The Jewish Fighting Brigade”) above and “הגדוד השני” (“The Second Battalion”) below, flanked by the years 1939 and 1969.
