Jewish Brigade – Letter, 2nd Battalion, Palestine Regiment, Europe 1946 - Original Air Letter sent by Sergeant Levitzky, a soldier of the 2nd Jewish Battalion, Palestine Regiment, serving in Europe with the Jewish Brigade. Written entirely in Hebrew to his wife Esther in Tel-Aviv, April 1946. Bearing a Field Post Office 690 (18 AP 46) British Army postmark and unit cachet: 2 (Jewish) Bn. Palestine Regt. The long Hebrew letter recounts the experiences of a Jewish soldier stationed in Europe shortly before the disbandment of the Jewish Brigade later that year.
