Jewish Brigade – New Year’s Greeting Card, Austria 1945 - Rare Rosh Hashana greeting card sent by a Jewish soldier from Transport Unit 468 of the Royal Army Service Corps (RASC), a Palestine transport unit serving within the Jewish Brigade. Printed in Hebrew with the words “Shanah Tovah” and, on the reverse, the phrase “Shnat shivat banim legvulam” (“The year of the return of sons to their borders”) accompanied by an illustration of soldiers climbing a hill before the silhouette of a soldier. Bearing the unit designation “468 Pal Coy RASC” and a handwritten greeting to family in Eretz Israel. Folded size: approx. 10×13 cm. Condition: fair to good, with minor water damage.
