Jewish Committee, Bergen-Belsen – Letter of Appreciation to a Jewish Brigade Soldier, 1946 - Official Yiddish letter from the Central Jewish Committee at Bergen-Belsen, dated 10 March 1946, expressing appreciation to Sergeant Tuvia Schwartz of the Jewish Brigade (British Army) for his assistance to Holocaust survivors during his military service in Germany. Stamped with the committee’s round purple seal featuring a Star of David and signed in ink. A moving historical document testifying to the Jewish Brigade’s humanitarian work in the DP camps after liberation.
