Jewish Brigade – Hebrew Parachutists Labels, 1955 & 1963 First Day Covers - Complete set of “Jewish Parachutists Fallen in Action” labels, issued by the Jewish National Fund (JNF/Keren Kayemet LeIsrael) to honor the seven volunteers captured and killed behind enemy lines between 1943–1945, including Hannah Szenes. The vertical complete sheet (7 labels) is preserved in excellent condition. 1955 First Day Cover – “10th Anniversary of Jewish Parachutists”, bearing three 1.20 IL stamps depicting a parachutist landing behind barbed wire, tab inscribed “עשור לצנחנים העבריים”, cancellation “31.3.55 Petah Tikva”, and printed illustration of the Jewish Brigade emblem with sword and Star of David. Registered cover, with postal markings front and back, sent to the USA. 1963 First Day Cover – “Zechor” (“Remember”), featuring a 0.25 IL stamp showing raised hands and a yellow star, marking the rescue of Holocaust survivors by Jewish Brigade soldiers. Illustrated with a soldier embracing a camp survivor. Cancellation: “Jerusalem 27.4.63”. Condition: Overall very good to excellent.
