Lottery Ticket – Kupat Holim of the Workers of Jaffa Eretz Israel, early 20th century - An original lottery ticket issued by the Kupat Holim of the Workers of Jaffa, no. 1858, printed in Hebrew. The ticket lists the lottery prizes, including: homemade remedies, books, melons, pictures, olive-wood and silk products, various plants, household utensils, and more. Ticket price stated: 3 grush. It is noted that all prizes could be viewed at the Kupat Holim office. This ticket constitutes an early documentary record of the social, communal, and economic activity of workers’ institutions in Jaffa, and of fundraising practices during the Yishuv period. Dimensions: 7 × 9 cm. Condition: Good. Light age and handling wear, minor staining and toning consistent with period paper. The reverse bears a period stamp/handwritten marking.
