The banknote was used as a means of payment during the transitional period following the establishment of the State of Israel, prior to the introduction of a permanent national currency. The banknote is printed in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Arabic. The obverse features central Hebrew inscriptions and the denomination within an ornamental frame, while the reverse displays a symmetrical ornamental design with Arabic and English inscriptions.
