The banknote served as legal tender during the transitional period following the establishment of the State of Israel, prior to the introduction of the Israeli Lira as the official national currency. The banknote is printed in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Arabic. The obverse features a central Hebrew inscription and the denomination 500 Prutah within an ornamental frame, while the reverse displays a symmetrical ornamental design with Arabic and English inscriptions. Physical Condition – Current Evaluation Based on the available scans and a physical examination: Thick, fleshy, and firm paper, retaining full original body. Three light folds are present: One central fold One additional fold slightly left of center, between the center of the note and the margin One very light horizontal fold All folds are soft and not sharp. No additional creases are visible. Margins are full and relatively even. Coloring is uniform. Only light age toning consistent with the period. No tears, holes, or visible repairs.
