The banknote served as an official means of payment in the early years of the State of Israel, prior to the establishment of the Bank of Israel and before the introduction of later Israeli pound series. The banknote is printed in three languages: Hebrew, English and Arabic. The obverse features a central Hebrew inscription and the denomination within a symmetrical ornamental frame. The reverse displays a symmetrical ornamental design with Arabic and English inscriptions. Printed by the American Bank Note Company, New York. Signatures: S. Hoofien and A. Barth. Series: P | Serial number: P470794. Physical Condition  The note is printed on thick, strong, and healthy paper, retaining full original body and firmness. No folds or creases are visible, neither central nor secondary. The paper remains flat, without signs of bending or handling fatigue. Margins are full and relatively well balanced. Coloration is even, with no significant stains or discoloration. Only very light and natural signs of age are present, fully consistent with the period. No tears, pinholes, repairs, or restoration are visible. Final Conservative Grade: UNC- (About Uncirculated / borderline Uncirculated) This conservative grade is assigned due to age-related handling sensitivity typical of the issue, despite the absence of folds or creases and the strong overall paper quality.
