The note served as official legal tender during the Israel Pound period, prior to the introduction of the Shekel. The banknote is printed in three languages: Hebrew, English, and Arabic. The front features a central Hebrew inscription and the denomination 50 Pounds within an ornamental frame; the reverse displays a symmetrical ornamental design with Arabic and English inscriptions.
