In that year, it was decided to issue, in addition to the coins and banknotes already in circulation, low denomination paper notes in order to reduce the use of metal. As part of this policy, paper notes in denominations of 50 and 100 Pruta were printed in several versions and color schemes. The 250 Pruta denomination was introduced into circulation at the end of 1953, also in multiple versions. Obverse: Security designs; the numeral 100 at center; the inscription “State of Israel” in Hebrew and Arabic; and the wording “Legal Tender Proposal” in Hebrew. Reverse: Symmetrical security design with the numeral 100 at center. Watermark: None. Signatures: Kaplan – Zagaqi. Numeral Color: Green. Physical Condition – Current Evaluation Thick and firm paper, well preserved relative to the denomination and period. A single soft central fold is present, without sharp breaks in the paper. Additionally, a soft crease at the lower left corner, shallow and not affecting the integrity of the margins. Clear printing, with no tears and no missing parts. Full margins and a clean, stable overall appearance. Final Grade (Conservative, Combined): F–VF / VF-
