Ottoman Empire – French Levant Post Offices – Jaffa, Jerusalem and Haifa (CAIFFA) Cancels – 19th Century - Philatelic exhibition album page relating to the operation of the French post offices in the Holy Land during the Ottoman period as part of the foreign postal network operating under the Capitulations. The page includes French Levant stamps bearing postal cancellations of Jaffa, Jerusalem and Haifa, the latter appearing in the cancellation as CAIFFA. One stamp shows a 29 August 1904 postmark. Also included is a cover fragment with two Levant stamps and a clear postal cancellation. The page contains a printed English explanatory text describing the activity of the French post offices in the region. Good condition. Binder holes along the left margin.
