The card was mailed through the French Post Office in Jaffa (France – Offices in Turkey), part of the foreign postal network operating in Ottoman Palestine. Franked with a 5 centimes French Levant stamp, cancelled JAFFA 15 March 1907. Arrival postmark on reverse: Montclair, New Jersey – 1 April 1907. Addressed to: Miss Emily Heller H.S.O. Bloomfield Ave Montclair, N.J., U.S.A. Handwritten note on the front dated March 12, 1907: “Your William”. A historical postal item illustrating the international mail routes from Ottoman Palestine via Jaffa in the early 20th century.
