Israel Postal Issues – E.E.F Stamps 1918, British Military Administration - Philatelic Exhibition Page - Decorative philatelic album page from the series “Israel Postal Issues”, presenting the first stamps issued in Eretz Israel following the British conquest during World War I. The page is dedicated to the E.E.F – Egyptian Expeditionary Forces stamps issued during the British Military Administration in Palestine (1918–1920). At the top are two examples of the 1 Piastre stamp from the first issue (February 1918), the ungummed rouletted issue, both bearing period postal cancellations. The central and lower sections display the gummed perforated issue (July–December 1918) including the following denominations: 1 Millieme 2 Milliemes 3 Milliemes 4 Milliemes 5 Milliemes 1 Piastre 2 Piastres 5 Piastres 10 Piastres 20 Piastres Most stamps are postally used with period cancellations. The stamps are mounted on black strips on an illustrated exhibition page decorated with Zionist motifs, coats of arms, a menorah, and illustrations of Modern Tel Aviv and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
