British Mandate Palestine – Meah Shearim and Mahne Yehuda Postmarks, Jerusalem 1929 – Two Cutouts with “Pictorial Issue” Stamps - Lot comprising two postal form cutouts from the British Mandate period bearing stamps of the Palestine “Pictorial Issue”, cancelled with postmarks of the Jerusalem sub-post offices Meah Shearim and Mahne Yehuda, both sought after in Jerusalem postal history. a) First cutout: Three stamps cancelled with “MEAH SHEARIM” postmarks dated 1929. The stamps are affixed to a section of a parcel postal form (Despatch Note / Bulletin d’Expédition), with clear strikes. b) Second cutout: Nine stamps cancelled with “MAHNE YEHUDA” postmarks dated 1929, on a section of an official Mandate parcel postal form. Multiple clear strikes of the postmark are visible. The reverse of the forms carries printed instructions in Hebrew, English, and Arabic, typical of Mandate postal forms. Overall condition very good, with minor signs of postal use as expected for such forms. An attractive postal history lot for collectors of British Mandate Palestine, Jerusalem postal markings, and the Palestine Pictorial Issue.
