Eye Test Chart (Snellen Chart), Poland, Early 20th Century - Original ophthalmic eye chart printed on thick paper, mounted with a black cloth border and retaining its original hanging cord. The chart features the large letter “E” at top followed by progressively smaller rows of letters – a classic early Snellen-type design. Polish inscriptions include: Ostrość wzroku – visual acuity Odległość w m – distance in meters Side markings indicate testing distances (up to 50 meters) and a visual acuity scale (0.1–2.0), consistent with early European measurement systems. Likely used in a medical clinic, ophthalmologist’s practice, or educational institution in early 20th-century Poland. Dimensions: 52 × 30 cm Condition: Fair condition. Noticeable age wear including creases, stains, edge tears, and fraying of the cloth border, with damage around the hanging points.
