Sri Lanka Air Force Cap Badge – Pilot Wings with Rotor Wheel | 1950s–1970s - Gilt metal cap badge of solid cast construction, designed as an open laurel wreath enclosing outstretched flight wings with a stylized central body. At the top appears a cogwheel/rotor element, characteristic of air force and technical aviation insignia. The lower section features a curved scroll with decorative motifs (no legible inscription on this example). The reverse retains its original horizontal pin-back fastening, with period solder joints consistent with mid-20th century manufacture. A representative badge of the Sri Lanka Air Force (formerly Ceylon), reflecting strong British RAF design influence typical of Commonwealth military insignia from the 1950s through the 1970s. Dimensions: approx. 5.5 × 5.5 cm Condition: Very good for age; showing light wear, minor surface marks and natural patina. Uncommon item.
