Kabbalistic Handwritten Amulets – Jerusalem, Early 20th Century – Pair of Jewish Mystical Protection Notes - Handwritten Kabbalistic amulet featuring mystical letter combinations, symbolic seals, and a letter grid. Jerusalem, early 20th century, approximate. Executed in orange ink on thin squared paper, the amulet is divided into three sections: the upper register contains stylized script associated with Kabbalistic calligraphy and so called “angelic script”; the central band displays linear mystical seals ending in circular forms, traditionally linked with angelic names and protective forces; the lower section contains a 21 cell Hebrew letter table resembling magical squares and sacred letter arrangements from practical Kabbalah traditions. Items of this type were historically used for protection, safeguarding, healing, and spiritual blessing. Additional handwritten devotional note bearing part of Isaiah 40:31: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength” The verse expresses faith, hope, and spiritual renewal. The complete verse continues: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Dimensions of each item: approx. 6 × 7 cm. Condition: Fair to good. Fold marks, stains, minor wear, and trimmed corners.
