4 Iranian Coins and a Shia Silver Medallion – Lion & Sun, 1959 - Lot of 4 Iranian/Persian coins and a Shia Islamic silver medallion from various periods. The silver medallion commemorates the birthday of the 12th Imam Mahdi, dated AH 1378 / 1959, weight 4.10 grams, diameter 22.5 mm. Also included is an additional Lion & Sun coin weighing 3.07 grams and measuring approx. 22 mm, possibly silver, along with three smaller Iranian coins, some of which may be low-grade silver issues.
