Iran – Group of 6 Original Banknotes from the Reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi | 4×20 Rials, 50 Rials, 200 Rials - A group of six original Iranian banknotes issued by the Central Bank of Iran (Bank Markazi Iran) during the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in the 1970s. Lot includes: • 4 banknotes of 20 Rials – “8th portrait” series, issued 1974–1979 • 1 banknote of 50 Rials – “8th portrait” series • 1 banknote of 200 Rials – “8th portrait” series Details: 20 Rials Size: 130 × 67 mm Condition: Very good condition with light folds and minor additional wear. 50 Rials Size: 135 × 69 mm Condition: Light folds and minor staining. 200 Rials Size: 148 × 73 mm Condition: Vertical fold slightly right of center and light wrinkles at the upper area. The reverse of the 20 Rials notes depicts a mountain dam, the 50 Rials note shows the Tomb of Cyrus the Great, and the 200 Rials note features Tehran’s Azadi Tower.
