The lot includes two different portrait types of the Shah: • 100 Rials banknote – 3rd portrait type of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, dated Persian years 1330–1332 (1951–1953). Reverse depicting an industrial refinery scene. • 100 Rials banknote – 4th portrait type of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, dated Persian year 1333 (1954). Reverse depicting an ancient Persian relief-inspired scene.
