Iran – Lot of 5 Rial Banknotes from the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Era, 1961–1969 - Lot of 5 original Iranian circulation banknotes issued by Bank Markazi Iran during the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The notes feature different portraits of the Shah alongside industrial, dam and landscape scenes on the reverse. Included in the lot: • 200 Rials, 1965 – 6th portrait of the Shah; reverse with bridge and mountain landscape. • 100 Rials, 1963–1965 – 6th portrait of the Shah; reverse depicting industrial refinery facilities. • 50 Rials, 1962–1965 – 6th portrait of the Shah; reverse with dam and mountain scenery. • 20 Rials, 1969 – 7th portrait of the Shah; reverse showing mounted hunting scene. • 10 Rials, 1961 – 5th portrait of the Shah; reverse with dam and mountain landscape. General condition: The 200 and 100 Rial notes are in very good condition with light folds only. The 50 Rial note is worn with staining and noticeable circulation wear. The 10 Rial note is heavily worn with folds, dirt and significant circulation wear. Please view the photos carefully for your own assessment of condition.
