Palestine Passport – Cyprus and Egypt Travel, 1946–1947, Without Photograph - British Mandate Palestine passport no. 210529, issued in Jerusalem on April 29, 1946, by the Government of Palestine. Issued to Miss Mirla Stern, born in Dukla, Poland, in 1926. Her occupation is recorded as Hairdresser. The passport photograph has been removed and is no longer present. The document contains a Cyprus visa and travel permits dated July 1946, together with entry and exit markings from Haifa, Famagusta, and Larnaca. Also present are an Egyptian visa and related entry permits and transit markings from 1947, including a March 29, 1947 date stamp and an Egyptian revenue stamp denominated 38 mills. Apart from the Cyprus and Egypt travel endorsements, the passport remains largely unused. An interesting personal travel document from the final years of the British Mandate in Palestine. Physical Condition – Current Evaluation: Poor condition. Heavy wear to covers and spine, damaged corners, staining and handling marks. Photograph removed from the passport. General signs of age and use throughout. Future examinations and grading may reveal additional details not noted in the present description.
