Identity Documents of a Jewish Couple with Immigration Endorsements to Uruguay – Germany, 1926 - Official identity documents issued in the district of Fischhausen, East Prussia, in 1926. The documents include an original photograph of the couple, their signatures, handwritten personal details, official German governmental stamps, and identification endorsements. The documents bear the names Samuel Kohn and Marja Rosa Kohn. On the reverse appear travel and emigration endorsements, including the destination Uruguay, Hamburg transit markings, and a consular authorization issued by the Uruguayan Consulate General in Hamburg. Also present is an original Uruguayan consular revenue stamp with a face value of 1.50 Pesos, along with additional official stamps dated 1926. An interesting documentary item illustrating the emigration process of Jewish families from Germany to South America during the interwar period, combining identity documentation, travel permissions, and consular immigration endorsements within the same document. Dimensions of the central section with the photograph: approximately 32 × 20 cm. Condition: Fair to poor. Multiple folds, tears, edge wear, staining, old paper tape repairs, and general signs of prolonged use and handling.
