1 Carlino 10 Grana Coin – Kingdom of Naples – Charles VI – 1733 – Silver - A silver 1 Carlino (10 Grana) coin, struck by the Kingdom of Naples in 1733, during the rule of the Habsburg emperor Charles VI. Obverse featuring a laureate bust of Charles VI facing right, surrounded by the Latin legend CAR VI D G ROM IMP. Mint and officials’ initials appear to the left of the portrait. Reverse featuring an ornamented Greek cross with rays between its arms, the date 1733, denomination 10 G, and the Latin motto IN HOC SIGNO VINCES – “In this sign, you shall conquer.” Silver, weight approximately 1.83 g, diameter approximately 19 mm. The documented standard is approximately 2.1 g and 21 mm; the difference may result from wear, minor edge loss, or approximate measurement. KM#140, MIR Napoli 328. Heavily circulated condition, with substantial wear to the portrait and legends, scratches, marks and edge damage, including a small loss at the upper edge.
