Israel 50 Pruta 1954 – Major Mint Error, Dramatically Off-Centre Strike - An Israeli 50 Pruta coin dated 5714 (1954), struck in copper-nickel, displaying a major and highly conspicuous minting error. The coin is dramatically off-centre on both sides. A substantial portion of each design was struck close to the edge and is partly missing, while a broad corresponding area of the planchet remained unstruck. Parts of the inscription “Israel” and the vine-leaf design are cut off on the obverse; portions of the barley wreath and date are missing on the reverse. Standard specifications for the regular issue: KM# 13 | Diameter: 23.5 mm | Weight: 5.6 g | Copper-nickel. A striking error coin with strong visual appeal, suitable for an advanced collection of Israeli coins and mint errors. Condition as shown; please examine the photographs for your own assessment.
