12 Ten (10) Mils Coins – Complete Set of All Issue Years – Palestine (Eretz Israel) | British Mandate Government - A comprehensive lot of 12 Ten (10) Mils coins issued in Palestine (Eretz Israel) under the British Mandate. The lot represents all 11 issue years of this type, including both metal varieties issued in 1942: copper-nickel and bronze. Years and varieties included: 1927, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1937, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942 copper-nickel, 1942 bronze, 1943 and 1946. The coins feature a central hole. One side bears the name Palestine in English, Hebrew and Arabic, together with the year of issue. The other side displays the denomination in all three languages around a vegetal wreath surrounding the central hole. The lot illustrates the wartime transition from silver-colored copper-nickel coins to bronze issues. Mixed condition, with circulation wear, patina and variations in tone consistent with age.
