Ceremonial Sword with Carved Dragon Hilt and Arabic Inscriptions, Southeast Asia, 20th Century - A ceremonial sword, approx. 85 cm in length. Curved steel blade engraved with Arabic inscriptions, including Quranic verses and the names of the four Rashidun caliphs. Wooden hilt finely carved in the form of a dragon’s head with detailed teeth and eyes; wooden scabbard decorated with a long dragon motif and floral ornaments. Likely of Indonesian/Malay origin, 19th–20th century, produced for ceremonial or decorative purposes.
