Small Art Deco Silver Mesh Evening Purse – Europe, Circa 1920s–1930s - A small evening purse made of densely linked silver mesh, attached to a rectangular frame with rounded corners and a ball clasp. The lower edge is decorated with suspended fringes terminating in small balls. Fitted with a short carrying chain and a large finger ring. Designed in the Art Deco style and attributed to Europe, probably Central or Eastern Europe. No visible maker’s or regional hallmarks; therefore, the precise place of manufacture remains uncertain. Acid-tested as silver; purity unknown. Dimensions excluding chain: 9 × 6 cm. Total weight: 43.88 g. Patina, wear, deformation, substantial tears and losses to the mesh, particularly inside, along the edges and at its attachment points to the frame. Some lower fringe elements are missing or uneven.
