Two Turkish 900 Silver Wedding Mirrors – Traditional Ottoman Style, Mid-20th Century - Two Turkish hanging mirrors, one rectangular with rounded corners and the other oval. Their silver frames are richly repoussé and chased with floral motifs, rosettes, arabesques and scalloped borders. The backs are likewise elaborately decorated. Each mirror is fitted with a hanging chain. Marked 900 and KLAS, apparently a maker’s or workshop mark. The decoration is best described as traditional Ottoman or Ottoman Revival rather than Art Deco. Probably Turkey, mid-20th century. Dimensions: Rectangular mirror: 18.5 × 14.5 cm. Oval mirror: 17 × 13.5 cm. Total weight, including mirror glass: 990 g. Age-related wear. A dark spot is visible on the rectangular mirror glass. Please examine the photographs for condition.
