Set of 3 cake and bread serving utensils with decorated sterling silver handles – England - The set comprises a serrated bread knife and two cake servers. The handles feature floral and shell relief decoration; the blades are stainless steel. The knife blade is marked “Bread Knife, Sheffield, England.” The handles bear British sterling silver hallmarks. One shows an HB maker’s mark in a diamond, a Sheffield crown and an apparent D date letter. Another shows B&Co, a Birmingham anchor and a lion passant. The differing marks indicate that the three pieces may not have been made by the same maker; their exact hallmark years require further verification. Knife length: 31 cm. Each server: 25 cm long, with a maximum width of 5.5 cm. Surface scratches and marks are visible on the blades, with patina on the handles. Please examine the photographs for condition.
