Bidspirit auction | Five Assorted Silver Serving Utensils

Five Assorted Silver Serving Utensils – Pair of .800 Spoons, Early 12-Loth Spoon, Sterling Spoon and Gilt Serving Fork - The two matching spoons with beaded handle borders are both marked 800, indicating .800 silver. Another spoon bears a 12 mark, apparently an early loth-system fineness mark equivalent to .750 silver; its country of origin cannot be established from that mark alone. The fourth spoon bears Sheffield’s crown, the sterling silver lion passant, date letter I, and maker’s mark GH, apparently identifying George Howson / Harrison Brothers & Howson, 1926. The gilt-tone serving fork is marked STERLING and bears additional marks that have not been identified with certainty. Longest piece: 13.5 cm; total weight: 74.3 g. Wear, scratches, patina and variations in color. Please examine the photographs for condition.
