Syria – 6 Coins, ½, 25 and 50 Piastres, 1921–1937, Five in .680 Silver - A lot of six Syrian coins from the French Mandate period: - 3 × 50 Piastres – two dated 1929 and one dated 1933. .680 silver; standard weight 10 g each, diameter 28 mm. - 2 × 25 Piastres – dated 1933 and 1937. .680 silver; standard weight 5 g each, diameter 24 mm. - ½ Piastre, 1921 – copper-nickel; standard weight 4 g, diameter 21 mm. The silver coins feature Arabic and French inscriptions with stylized ornamental designs. Varying conditions, with wear, scratches, staining and toning, pronounced on some coins.
