1950s Platinum Cat’s-Eye Chrysoberyl & Diamond Ring, 7 - Metal: Unmarked platinum-palladium alloy (assay ≈ Pt 79.5 % / Pd 14.3 %) Finished weight:  ≈ 4.0 g Finger size: US 7 Primary gem: Translucent yellow-green chrysoberyl cabochon displaying a centred chatoyant “eye”, approx. 7.0 mm diameter (≈ 2.20 ct) Diamonds: Single-cut baguettes + square step-cuts, total ≈ 0.15 ctw, colour F–H, clarity VS–SI  Condition: very good. light patina; minor tool marks at previous resize seam; stones secure, no structural issues Cast and hand-finished ring centring a nicely domed chrysoberyl cabochon whose moderately strong chatoyancy forms a distinct silvery eye under point-light. Gem secured by robust four-claw prongs and flanked by channel-set step-cut diamonds; an Art-Moderne architectural treatment typical of mid-1950s platinum work. Diamonds are well-matched in colorless range with predominantly VS transparency, supplying crisp contrast to the soft green bodycolour of the cat’s-eye.
