Hermes Silk Interlocking Chain Motif Necktie with Box - Hermes silk necktie, late 20th century. Features an all-over interlocking chain link pattern in tonal blue silk twill with a standard pointed tip. Reverse is marked with a printed horse and carriage logo, Made in France production stamp 399 EA, and an embroidered H on the keeper loop. Includes the original orange Hermes Cravates window-box packaging. Hermes silk neckties are printed at the house's Lyon atelier and hand-finished individually. Each design is produced in a limited run and retired once the run is complete, which is why older patterns are rarely seen in the market. Original packaging from Hermes is retained with this lot, which is the preferred configuration for collectors and is increasingly difficult to find with pieces of this age.
