Hermes Silk Carre 90 Scarf in the Egypte Pattern by Caty Latham - Hermes silk twill Carre 90 scarf featuring the Egypte pattern designed by Caty Latham, first issued circa 1970. The design depicts Ancient Egyptian motifs including winged scarabs, papyrus stalks, and ceremonial crowns on a turquoise blue ground with gold and cream accents. The piece is finished with hand-rolled hems and includes the printed HERMES-PARIS mark and designer signature. Approximately 35 x 35 inches (90 x 90 cm). Hermes has produced silk scarves since 1937. Each design is created by a commissioned artist and the production process from concept to finished silk typically takes around 18 months. The scarves are hand-rolled and printed at the Hermes atelier in Lyon, France.
