Hermes Silk Necktie in Circus Elephant Pattern - Hermes silk necktie, late 20th century, manufactured in France. The mustard yellow silk ground features a novelty repeat pattern of brown circus elephants on pedestals and standing mice. Markings on the reverse include a black woven horse and carriage brand label and red printed marks identifying pattern number 7681 TA. Length: Approximately 57-58 inches (145-147 cm). Hermes silk neckties are printed at the house's Lyon atelier and hand-finished individually. Each design is produced in a limited run and retired once the run is complete, which is why older patterns are rarely seen in the market.
