Hermès Voiles de Lumière Silk Scarf by Joachim Metz - An Hermès silk carré scarf in the Voiles de Lumière pattern, designed by artist Joachim Metz and originally issued in 1995. The nautical design features detailed illustrations of various historical sailing vessels, including galleons and caravels, on a cream-colored ground. The central motif consists of a large compass rose with radiating lines and a red and blue flag. Below the center is a mythological scene depicting Neptune in a sea chariot drawn by hippocampi. The entire composition is framed by an ornate golden architectural border decorated with scrollwork, oars, and nautical instruments, all set against a vibrant red outer border. The artist signature J. METZ is visible on a yellow ribbon in the lower-left corner. The copyright mark © HERMES is located on a gold scroll in the lower-right area. The brand mark HERMÈS PARIS appears in the central crest at the bottom edge, and the central crest at the top contains the date 1572. A blue cartouche on the left side displays the pattern title VOILES DE LUMIERE. The scarf is constructed from 100 percent silk twill with hand-rolled and hand-stitched edges. Approximately 35 inches x 35 inches (90cm x 90cm).
