Each cufflink features a centrally mounted round white cultured pearl set within an open-work hexagonal frame. The silver frame is accented with horizontal grooved lines. The pieces are constructed with a pivoting toggle back mechanism. Visible markings on the toggle include the Mikimoto maker mark of an M inside a shell-shaped outline and a square mark containing the letter S, indicating silver. The lot includes an original Mikimoto presentation box and a certificate of authenticity from Mikimoto Ginza, Tokyo, identifying the item number as PF-111A and the metal as SiL.
