Yves Saint Laurent Vintage Silk Foulard Scarf with Paisley and Medallion Motif - This is a square foulard scarf from the French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent. The scarf is crafted from 100 percent silk and features a tonal polka dot jacquard weave that provides a textured ground for the printed design. The central navy blue field contains a large-scale medallion composed of gold and jewel-toned paisley and scroll patterns. This center is surrounded by a wide border of red-ground paisley elements and finished with an outer border of multi-colored vertical stripes in blue, green, red, and gold. The edges are finished with hand-rolled hems. Visible markings include a sewn-in fabric label with a blue border reading Yves Saint Laurent foulards. A secondary care label is attached, printed in Japanese and specifying 100 percent silk. The designer name YVES SAINT LAURENT is also printed in a white cartouche in the lower corner of the design.
