Hermes Carpe Diem Silk Carre 90 Scarf - This is A Hermes Paris silk scarf in the Carpe Diem pattern, originally designed by artist Joachim Metz in 1994. The scarf is constructed from 100 percent silk twill and features a hand-rolled hem in red. The central design depicts a large golden sun with a face, surrounded by stylized rays in shades of blue, green, orange, and yellow. Above the sun, a blue and red flowing ribbon banner contains the words CARPE DIEM. Below the sun is a semi-circular sundial band with Roman numerals from IX to II, with the signature HERMES PARIS printed below the XII. The corners and borders are decorated with astronomical and agricultural motifs including crescent moons, stars, and bundles of wheat against a marbled tan background. A copyright mark reading (c) HERMES is visible in the upper section of the border. The original white textile care label is attached to the hem and reads FABRIQUE EN FRANCE 100% SOIE and MADE IN FRANCE 100% SILK DRY CLEAN ONLY.
